From Clinic to Clicks: How I Turned My Aesthetic Knowledge Into an Online Business

👩🏾‍⚕️ Introduction: A PA by Day, Aesthetic CEO by Weekend

They say you can’t do it all. But somehow, with a prayer, a plan, and a WiFi connection—I did.

By weekday, I’m a full-time Physician Associate (PA) in General Practice here in the UK. On weekends, I run my aesthetic clinic, helping clients feel confident in their skin. Between consultations and clinic days, I’m also a mum of two gorgeous daughters—aged 9 and 7—one preparing for her 11 Plus exams, and the other in Year 3, always bursting with stories from school. I check homework, pack lunchboxes, run ads, see patients, and update my online skincare shop… all while dealing with a deeply personal health journey of my own.

This is my story—from clinic to clicks.



💡 Why I Started: The Side Hustle That Became My Mission

It all started with my passion for skin health. In clinic, I’d see patients struggle with acne, pigmentation, and confidence. I knew aesthetics could bridge the gap between medicine and self-esteem—but I also knew I wanted to do it my way: safely, ethically, and evidence-based.

That’s when I launched my aesthetics clinic. First, it was evenings and Saturdays. Then came product recommendations, then an AI skin quiz, and then… a whole brand.

My clinic wasn’t just a hustle—it became a healing space for clients and for myself.



🗓️ Weekday PA, Weekend CEO: A Glimpse Into My Life

Here’s a peek into a typical week:

  • Mon–Fri, 8 AM–6 PM: clinics, med reviews (HTN), urgent care cases.

  • Evenings - For CPDs , Admin, aesthetics bookings, replying to skincare queries.

  • Saturday: Full clinic day—facials, fillers, chemical peels, consultations.

  • Sunday: Cooking, Church, 11 Plus tutoring for my 9-year-old, plus cuddles and cartoons with my 7-year-old.

  • Nighttime: Instagram reels, Canva graphics, ManyChat automations.

I laugh when people ask how I find time. The truth? I don’t. I make it.



👩🏽‍🍼 Mum Life Meets Business Life

My eldest is in Year 5 and sitting her 11 Plus this year. Every week, I review comprehension, spellings, and verbal reasoning with her—between Zoom calls and order packing. Sundays? She’s at her tutoring session while I plan social media posts for my skincare brand.

My little one is 7, in Year 3, and she’s curious, cheeky, and absolutely the boss of our home. She reminds me to take breaks and sometimes helps me “design” my skincare labels in Canva.

And then there’s my husband—supportive, patient, and always willing to hold it down when I’m in clinic or building FellySaas late at night.



🩸 The Silent Struggle: My Fibroid & Menstrual Flooding Story

While all this was happening, I was silently battling something else—fibroids.

For months, I experienced heavy menstrual bleeding—flooding, to be honest. Pads couldn’t cope. I’d double up, cancel work, feel drained and embarrassed. I was an anaemic entrepreneur trying to smile through fatigue and still deliver flawless skin treatments.

Eventually, I received treatment: tranexamic acid, a Mirena coil, and monthly injections to pause the bleeding. I’m still waiting on my final surgery. It’s been painful—physically and emotionally—but it’s also been a reminder that my body is doing its best.

Running a business while battling chronic symptoms made me realise: I’m not weak. I’m a warrior.



💻 The Tech That Saved My Sanity

If I didn’t have tech, I would’ve quit. These are the tools that made my life smoother:

  • ManyChat: My 24/7 skin advice chatbot on Instagram

  • Many APIs/ Compute Vision: For personalised skincare advice and writing product pages

  • Canva: To create blog graphics, carousels, and email campaigns

  • Setmore & Book.heygoldie: My online booking systems

Even with kids shouting in the background, I could automate replies, accept bookings, and manage orders.
